Has anyone taken the Fez Bus and if so would you recommend it? I'm going to most of the same places but wonder if I should just do it on my own. Thanks
I haven't taken the Fez Bus, but I've read some past discussions on it. It seems like the central question is whether you want to ride with tourists, or with locals. | 1

The Fez bus takes out some of the hassle of travelling in a strange country - but is a lot more expensive [3x?] than just taking local buses everywhere. And the bus service in Turkey is absolutely wonderful. | 3
The Fezbus has the advantage/problem that its delivers you to 'their' pension which may not be as nice/cheaper as the one down the road. | 4
Fez offers choices of places to stay which are at reduced prices that others would normally pay - - but you definitely can stay at a place of your own choosing. My husband and I used the Fez Bus and had an absolutely fabulous time. While traveling on the Fez Bus, and our reading/hearing of new pansions to stay on our trip, our offsider used her handie and reserved a room for us even so not on their list of offerings. All buses are airconditioned non smoking - no muzak – and have a cold box. We had advised Fez to pick us up after 7 days of flaking out on Patara Beach – however, this proved to be far too long for us and all we did was call (free) the Fez Bus terminal and reserved a pickup. 24 hours notice is required. I met a few travellers who so wished they could hop on the Fez bus as they were continually complaining about the terrific heat. We stayed for a length of time in Selchuk and went off on our own into the countryside using local Dolmushs - stayed in various towns … travelled back to Selchuk ... and then carried on with the Fez Bus route. | 5
OP5 has some very good points. In some circumstances Turkey, like any other country, can be quite challenging to travel in. Fez can remove some of those challenges. | 6
Not that I am superwoman - but I need to clarify. | 7
