ferry ancona-split - Jadrolinija or Blue Line?

In early april we will take the ferry ancona italy to split.
We are considering
2 lines to buy overnite cabins on.

Which do you recommend we use?

Jadrolinija or Blue Line

the boat is similar bad.. more then 30 years old...

blue line is some cheaper .. few euro... they give on line booking for 20 euro...

jadrolinija is nacionality company .. blue line is private - Panama...

I went Jadrolinija a couple of years ago, they were pretty good, cabins were ok (nothing luxury but for an overnight what do you need?). Breakfast was the worst part but at least it was free

Jadrolinija is a better choice. BTW, breakfast is not free, the price is included in cabin fare.

Ferry from Ancona to Zadar is only a few years old and offers a variety of accomodation.

We had nothing but problems when we travelled with Jadrolinija late last year. The service was terrible at every step. We were charged an extra 30% because we changed our itinerary a second time even though there was less than 50 people on the whole ferry. When challenged the staff said the charge is outlined on their website, but no where to be found. Our cabin was below water level and the carpeted hallway quickly smelled of vomit. Duty-free consisted of 3 different types of alcohol and some overpriced Toblerone. The duty-free clerk was screaming at me for trying to open a new box. I don't want to begin on the terrible food that was served. Overall it was the worst experience I have encountered in a lot of travel. If I was the OP I would choose Blueline simply because it couldn't possibly be worse. Jadrol is still run like an old communist boat, which would be funny, if it wasn't so sad.
