Fastest (and easily understandable) Route to KFV

Hi, my friends and I will be staying at JW Marriott Seoul for our trip. I was wondering what would be the fastest route to go to Korean Folk Village from our hotel? What I currently have is an hour and a half ride to get to KFV (subway + free shuttle bus), is there an easier and consequently, faster way? Any advice would be great. Thanks!

p.s. We're also planning to watch the Hwarang Parade at the Korea Military Academy which happens every Fri (4pm, if I'm not mistaken). Can we just go to KMA, explore the grounds ourselves and watch the parade? Or can we only do that by joining the tour of the said facility? I can't seem to find any information regarding this.

I think easiest way is to take a metro at "Gosok terminal" station which is quite near JW marriot (possibly connected from your hotel if I remember correctly) and take line number 3 (orange colour). to the direction of "Chung mu ro" (which is to north direction).

"Gosok Terminal (also called express bus terminal or something)" is bit of maze but if you follow the ORANGE line, and look out for "Chung mu ro" direction, you will be able to find a right train.
If you're confused, ask someone around, they will know where 'Chung mu ro' is.

It's 9 stops from your station (Gosok terminal), so it will take more less 30 min). Come out from exit no.3, you will see the village from there. Note the village close on every Tuesday.

About the Hwarang Parade, I don't think you need to join a tour for the sight.
As long as I remember, it just sort of 'happen' in the middle of KMA, no need for a guide.
(This I'm not sure but you can always figure it out when you get there)

At first. i think alice_thee_alice's reply was very friendly and exactly driection.
but There is NOT Korean Folk Village , There is Namsangol Hanok Village..( also good attraction place)
Korean Fork Village is located in YongIn.

Fastest way to go KFV ,
1. Go to subway "Gosok Terminal"Station (near JW marriot)

1. Take line number 3, Orange line, To "YangJae" Station which is 3 stops from "Gosok Terminal"
   Gosok Terminal - Seoul National Univ of Education - Nambu Bus Terminal - "YangJae"

2. Come out form exit no 7

3. Take Red Bus No 5001-1, 1560 ( 1800 KW per persion)

4. Take Off at KFV bus stop ( also you can ask Bus driver "let me know Whre is MinSokChon(KFV)"
