| danielsprague01:46 UTC30 May 2007 | Hi
I'm planning on getting to Altai about the 13th June.
I am travelling alone in a two-seat 4x4 pickup, with camping, cooking gear etc. I have space for one person (an a backpack) to join me. I plan on exploring Altai for about 5 days, then attempting the notorious track to Tuva via Kosh Agach, Khandagayty and Mugur Asky, then coming back round via Abakan into Altai and leaving for Kazakhstan
I usually camp, though I'm partial to cheap hostels and homestays when I can't find a capmsite or can't be bothered to strike camp. I would ask that you have a sleeping bag, or at least some warm clothes. I have a bivvy bag which you can sleep on. My sleeping mat is only (just) wide enough for one, so bring your own if you want a modicum of comfort.
I would ask for a contribution to living costs (50/50) on food and accomodation, fuel is negotiable. I would say 33/66 in you favour (i.e. I pay two thirds) if we stick to my route, 50/50 if you ant to change my route.
If anyone is interested in joining, please reply and PM.
Regards
Daniel
P.S. The amount of time we spend together depends upon how well we get on!
