I am heading to Jamiaca in a few weeks and am wondering if anyone can tell me how long it takes to get from Falmouth to Montego Bay, and what kind of transportation is available. Also is it safe to travel at night with a group of females? Have been to Jamaica before but it has been a while now and have heard things have deteriorated. Just wondering if anyone has any info.

| mikeymike15:37 UTC21 Jan 2010 | From MoBay to Falmouth by car will take about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic in MoBay. If you are coming from the Bogue side (Negril side) of MoBay, then a bit longer because of traffic.
If you are taking "public transport" (mini bus, route taxi) then about an hour are longer.
It is safe to drive at night in your own car are a "private taxi", but it is not safe to use public transport at night.

Shared van no more then $25US.
