Duty Free?

Country forums / Scandinavia & the Nordics / Norway

Could someone please give me some advice regarding bringing duty free alcohol into Norway. I'm travelling from Kuala Lumpur to the UK, then on to Norway. Last time I travelled my duty free was confiscated because it was bought in Bangkok. It was all within the legal limit and sealed, but as it was bought in Bangkok was disallowed. Thanks in advance.

You bare asking two diffenrent questions:
Import quota to Norway
and if you duty free liquids will be confiscated boarding a plane

If your duty free was guaranteed to pass EU security in Bangkok and was confiscated, you can ask the Bangkok Duty free for a refund. The confiscation was due to the "max 100 ml liquids into cabin" I guess! - the anti-terrorist rules, and not any "duty free rules".

To be sure to get it on the palne, buy your stuff at departure from UK.

Only liquids bought and sealed in the EEA (EU+EFTA) on the day of traveling can be brought through security.
