DOUBLE-ENTRY VISA FOR MADAGASCAR

Country forums / Africa / Madagascar

While visiting Madagascar this coming November, I am flying to Reunion for a few days and back to M. (Tana, in both cases). Must I purchase a separate visa each time I enter the country or may I purchase one on first arrival that will allow a second, later entry?

If you get your visa from an embassy before leaving, you can certainly get a multiple entry visa - it costs 50% more than a single entry version.

There seems to be no logical reason why this shouldn't also be possible at the airport on arrival - if you don't get a reply on the thread from someone who has done it, then at least have the necessary cash ready in euros and ask the officials to issue you with one.

Hello
I don't know about a double entry visa and if it is more expensive, I wonder why should you buy such a one. I have been staying in Madagascar for three months. Being unable to extend my visa, I had to go out of the country. I visited the Grand Comore Island and stayed there for two nights. In order to get a new visa for Madagascar, I went to the Malagasy consul's office in Moroni ( the capital of the Comoros Islands) to ask for a new one. I got it the same day and paid 70 euros. The visa was for 60 days. Actually you can ask for another 90 days. I think it is the same price. I think the same procedures apply to Reunion as well. If not mistaken, there is also a Malagasy consul's office in Reunion. I assume it's more preferable to arrange your second visa before re-entering the country though you may get one on arrival too.
