Deported from a GCC country, can I get a study visa for Germany?

I will be applying for a study visa to Germany soon. But the thing is that I have been deported from a GCC country for overstaying my visa. There are no deportation stamps on my passport as I didn't have it with me at the time of deportation. They took my picture and fingerprints before deporting me.

So now when I apply for a study visa to Germany, will the deportation affect my chances of getting the visa? I am applying with a new passport. I am worried that if I lie about my it on the application and they find out later, I will not get the visa. If I tell the truth about it on the application, I will not get the visa. What do you suggest I do?

The easy way is to ask the German embassy in your country about when making your request as you will have an apointment with them. For sure even if you dont ask they will told you how your situation is. Btw, do you have something like an agreement with any universities in Germany?

Well I am hesitant to contact the German consulate because I am afraid that if I do, that will seal my fate even before applying. I was thinking if I hide the fact about my deportation, can I get away with it?

The only think I have from a university in Germany is an admission offer letter.

Try to find out if the GCC has direct connection with the SIS system in the EU.

As far as I have read, I don't think so. Only EU countries have access to SIS.

Well, no problem for you. I also doubt about that the European imigration will take care about what other people in the world do in other countries on other continents.
