Decent way of plotting route online

Hi all, not sure if I'm in the right place....

I want to plot my route on line - I have looked at Trip advisor - its nearly good but it does not plot your routes.

Google maps again has limitations in as much that if it cannot find a road route it cannot plot it.

I just want to draw a line between destinations - there must be an easy way!!

Any advice - keen to be able to upload it to a blog eventually.
