Day trips from CairnsCountry forums / Australia, New Zealand & Antarctica / Australia
Hi fellow travelers, My GF and me are planning to visit Cairns the coming week, spending 5 days. We hope to explore rainforest / nature, and visit the Great Barrier Reef. Does anyone have advice on how to explore rainforest (hiking) from Cairns without renting a car? Any advice on which company to book for a day trip to the reef would be most welcome too... (we hope to do the introductory scuba diving thing) Thanks a lot!
Hi Bart, based on what you say, I would get up to http://www.capetribbeach.com.au/ for two maybe three nights of your time, there being tours for around $100 that do a split by taking half a day or so to take you up there and then pick you up on whatever day you plan to leave, usually around 2 pm. I think it was from memory. | 1
