Will be in Dar on dec 25-27, 2007

1. any mid-range good hotels ?

2. anyone can recommend a good nightspot during those dates (xmas) to hear live music ?

3. does it really get cold at night while on safari ? need warm clothes ?

temp is lower especially around Arusha circut, nothing freezing, a thick shirt + t shirt, sweater is fine.

Peninsula is a very good choice, spacious rooms, comfortable beds, proper breakfast (with real sausages not frankfurters), the Irish Pub is excellent, regular live music and very lively, just don't let anyone talk you into vodka sniffing - lethal and if you're female, stay away from Jimmy.
