CUCUTA

I have been invited to stay with a friend a few days in Cucuta in Novemeber, Has anyone actually been there, all the info I am getting back from people leads me to believe that the place is a dump.

Never been there, but agree, everyone says its a dump.

I have been through Cucuta a couple of times to renew my Colombian DAS stamps. And yes it is a bit of a dump. The main plaza okay for a couple of hours. To people watch and chat. Thats about all.

pamplona nearby should be a nice side-trip.
