Are there any direct flights from anywhere in Croatia to Venice? All we can find are flights with multiple stops that bounce you around Europe like a pinball before arriving at Venice.
When do you want to go? | 1 | |
We were looking for flights around mid-May to early June of this year | 2
Volotea might have started their seasonal Venice to Dubrovnik by then. There are more direct flights in July and August. ... | 3
There will be direct flights from Dubrovnik to Venice beginning the 28th May on Wednesdays and Saturdays and from Split to Venice beginning the 29th May on Thursdays and Sundays. All of them performed by Volotea ( http://www.volotea.com/en ). So, considering the scarcity, the planning of the flight and the itinerary accordingly is a must. One more thing. The Croatian national carrier - Croatia Airlines ( http://www.croatiaairlines.com/?langid=en ) will start their direct, non-stop service between Dubrovnik and Venice beginning the 28th April on Thursdays and Sundays. Beside the mentioned flights it is not realistic to expect any more flights between Croatia airports and Venice for this season. | 4
Croatia is very close to Venice. So if you are in Zagreb I advice to take a bus to Trieste (120 km from Venice, every h a train to Venice Santa Lucia, about 12 € 2nd class) or train. If u r in Rijeka or Istria then is just 50 km to Italy. they r ferries between Rovinj or Porec to Venice too. T | 5
If I were in Rovinj I would also take the bus. If I were in Dubrovnik,no. | 6
Where will you be in Croatia, your other option is of course to take a boat. http://www.venezialines.com/prices/istra-venice | 7
