Croatia in October Help Please!!Country forums / Eastern Europe & the Caucasus / Croatia
Hi, We are looking for warmth, beaches and great architecture. We have never visited before, any recomendations? Thanks Gavin
You don't say what mode of transport you're using. | 1
If you are looking for warmth in october, then you got to go south of Split. For instance, Hvar island/city has the most sunny days in CRO, nice architecture and some nice beaches. I recommend it. | 2
Dubrovnik is by far the most expensive town in Croatia. If you want to save some money, go to smaller towns near bigger centers such as Split. I recommend Omiš or Trogir. Omiš has beautiful beaches, Trogir is on the Unesco list because of its beautiful architecture. Both are 30 min drive from Split. | 3
in 2 week take 3 destination-- Dubrovnik - Hvar - Split | 4
Split is a great town to visit as it has plenty of architectural sites to see, you are 'living' in a museum and there are good restaurants/bars and the town is very child friendly. Trogir is a little quiet by October and you need to go to Ciovo to find good beaches. Hvar is always a great place to visit and is generally warmer/sunnier than the mainland and again good restaurants/bars. | 5
My advice is Dubrovnik, prices are almost the same as any other destinations... Split is too big town... | 6
