creative dining suggestions in Cape Town and Stellenbosch

My foodie husband and I will be in Cape Town and Stellenbosch and would like to find some creative chefs in the area. Does anyone have suggestions in either area?

Here are the Cape Town restaurants ( and a couple of Winelands ones) acclaimed for their chef's creative offerings for 2007.

More restaurants here: gourmet Cape town, unfortunately I'm not qualified to "review" them but it gives you a starting point!

And may I put in a personal recommendation for The Foodbarn at Noordhoek Farm Village - well worth the journey which is wonderfully scenic.

I would suggest Pomegranate at the Vergenoegd Wine Estate outside Stellenbosch. The owner has run a very well known restaurant of the same name in Melville, Johannesburg, and has now opened here. We like Die Wijnhuis in Stellenbosch, but perhaps its not foodie enough - but it is a cosy spot and you can order a wonderful range of wines by the glass. Moyo at Spier is very touristy, and the restaurant (I forget its name) at Lanzerac which is often advertised in food mags is very pretentious.
