Couple of Questions about Dhaka - Circus/brick factories

Country forums / Indian Subcontinent / Bangladesh

Hello,

I am a photographer arriving into Dhaka soon, and was wandering if anyone knew of any circus' in Dhaka at the moment? Also, might sound like a silly question but does anyone know if the brick factories are as populated with workers on weekends as they are during the week?

Thanks and kind regards
Hanna

The whole of old Dhaka is a circus....

Circus is not allows in a same place, they are changing quite often the places, but nearby Dhaka like Savar, Aminbazar, Ashulia, Rampura these they normally perform, i have some contacts of them. when you arrive at Dhaka, then it might be a possible to let you know where they are performing on that time,

brick factory work they worker here don't really have any holidays, As bcz it a seasonal business that's why you can find them working at the day time 7 Days in a week. just outside of the city you will find hundreds of brick factories , take a taxi to Gaptoli, Savar, Ashulia, Aminbazar etc and find them working in the open air,

Hello,

Thank you so much for your reply. I wanted to photograph the circus practice/preparations as I've heard it's a bit of a dying art in Bangladesh now, it would be great if you would be able to find out where they will be. I'll be in Dhaka from Monday for a week before moving North East.

I will try to visit a few different brickfields when I'm there.

Thanks and kind regards
Hanna
