Coro to Puerto Colombia

I am trying to get from Coro to Puerto Colombia without losing an entire day on the bus. Is there a night bus or something like that to Maracay? Thanks

There are a handful of night buses that leave around 11pm at night from Coro. It's best to try and book in advance as they are usually full up at departure, although the sales window was still open in the bus station before the bus left.

You'll get to to Maracay around 5am, probably frozen solid from the AC. Then cross to the main bus terminal building and look for the stand with brightly painted USA schoolbuses, one or two will have Choroni painted on the front side of the bus, or in the window. Ask any of the people who are doing the calling for other destinations if you can't spot it, they'll point you. I don't know what time the first one leaves, so have a book to read for a few hours. It's then 2 hours over the mountains to Choroni. You should be there by 10 or 11am at the latest. Buses don't wait until full, rarely even half full.
