Connecting from Emirates to Air Asia at Singapore AirportCountry forums / South-East Asia Islands & Peninsula / Singapore
Just looking into some flights from Brisbane to SEA. Emirates have a flight that departs Brisbane at 2.30am arriving into Singapore at 8.15am. It's a few hundred dollars cheaper than the Thai Airways flight I'd ideally take straight into Bangkok. I can just tag an Air Asia flight on for about S$70. The earliest one is at 10.55am. Is that a doable connection? The only other options are from mid-afternoon onwards. Has anyone taken this Emirates flight from Brisbane? It's a completely ridiculous time to head to the airport but seems well worth it to save a few hundred dollars. Does it usually leave on time? Is it crowded? It's almost as cheap as the Jetstar flight from Brisbane so I'm assuming the reason that it's so cheap is because of the awful departure time and not some other reason like it being a crappy old plane. Can anyone confirm that it's the usual high standard of service from Emirates? We plan on spending some time in Singapore at the end of our trip and flight back to Brisbane from here so would prefer to take a connection at the start rather than stop for a night. Seeing as your first flight isnt with another budget carrier, its doable.Do a web check in with Air Asia then you'd just need to check in your bags. Shorter queue as well. | 1
Agree with westwood, web check in and anything else to make your transfer as straightforward as possible when you are there will help a lot. But yes, it is doable regardless.Never been on the Brisbane flight with Emirates, but have flown with them a lot and see no reason why they would not live up to their usual high standards on just this one route? | 2
Thanks both. I booked these flights so hope it goes smoothly. :) | 3
