Colombo airport to Colombo city center transfer

Hi all,

I have read quite a lot regarding the transfers from Colombo airport to Colombo city center. After examining the options I have decided to take 187-E3 (not to be confused with "plain 187" bus line) because the price and the time required by this option definitely beats the taxi option.

Anyway, the information regarding the mentioned bus line are somewhat confusing. The first a bit unclear detail is the starting point of this bus when you take it at the airport. Usual explanation is that you just should continue walking across the street after you exit the airport and that you will soon encounter this particular bus. Is this true?

Also, available information tell that the terminating point is Central Bus Stand, roughly east from Colombo Fort Railway Station. Is this true? This is fine for me because from there I have a kilometer or a bit more to my accommodation, so I can use a tuk tuk or taxi for affordable amount.

In the end, is it true that the price of a one way ticket on 187-E3 line, baggage included is 120 LKR? If this information is true, than I will definitely make a combination of bus + tuk tuk (taxi) to reach my final destination, than to pay extortion taxi fare amounting to 3.000 LKR.

I'm not sure if this will help but I had taken a bus from the airport in Nov 2015 and I had to take it from the bus station (continue walking right from airport exit). It was really not much of a walk even with the backpack.
