clothing sizes in Buenos Aires

Hello,
I will be in Buenos Aires for 5 months and I don't want to pack too much with me. Is it difficult to find plus sized clothing (US size 12 and above) in Buenos Aires? I will especially need a jacket, and I would like to buy other clothing, but can not spend much money.

If you're a plus size, bring all of your clothes with you. There's not a chance you'll find anything to fit you here. Even US size 8 friends of mine struggle.

Agree that anything over a smallish 12 is very difficult to find easily. In the suburbs it is slightly easier than trendy Palermo or downtown.

there was a fashion article the other day about. there was a list of plus size stores, but i dont have the article, or remember the stores....im just mentioning that because....they do exist....but it is HARD! to find them.

i think in the city zara is going to be your best bet.

i would say bring your clothes bring your clothes....oh, especially pants. its a bitch to find pants.

OK, I found a list of shops with larger sizes at List of shops
Of those, LS Moda seems to have simple sports clothes and lots of pants for lizzylou!
I'd still say bring what you need, but one of these shops might do for a couple of things to plump out your wardrobe.

I agree, bring all the pants you will need. Argentine women are so small! I wear a size 6 and I can find pants, but I don't have nearly as many choices as the skinny girls. Shirts are ok, but the sleeves are often short.

as for coats....THEY ARE EXPENSIVE! And cheaply made and very rarely good wool.

bring a coat from home.
