Champions League Final from Jakarta

Hi all,

I'm going to be in Jakarta from 5/22-5/25, and would like to try to catch the Champions League final (scheduled for 5/24 at 1:45 AM local time) somewhere other than my hotel room...

Any thoughts/suggestions on decent pubs / sports bars that will be showing the game and might have a fair amount of people watching?

where is your hotel?

score in south jakarta is havin a big nite with live music and stuff. popular with indonesians

front row is a more central american franchise type place

or keep your eye on jakarta nite out

Aphrodite in Rasuna Said (Kuningan) is also nice and has a few TVs, though there may be competition with Aussie footy.
Crossroads in Dharmwangsa Square is a smaller place with 2 good screens now I think. Friendly.
Some of the 5 star hotels have big screens but their beer is expensive.

Several pubs in Blok M (Jalan Falatahan) are OK. Sportsman has lots of regular size TVs scattered round the 2 bars. Everest has a huge projection screen. Others in the street may have it too, e.g. One Tree.

As #1 says, it would be easier to advise if you said which area you will be in.

hmmm, hadn't actually got that far - travelling across java right now and was planning on figuring it out closer to the time. but just had a look in the guidebook and seems like i'll probably end up somewhere around jalan jaksa, unless you guys would advise otherwise...

Ditto exile and RAK, lots of places will be showing it, any of those mentioned above will be far nicer places to watch the match than the dives in Jaksa. There shouldn't be any competition from AFL at Aphrodite or anywhere else given the time difference between Athens and Oz.

#4 I have often seen AFL replys on in the evening at Aphro and other places, the same time as live soccer from the UK. I quite like it being on at the same time as the soccer so I can watch whichever game is more interesting- which often ends up being neither...
