Can unmarried couples share hotel rooms?Country forums / Middle East
I'll be traveling in Lebanon, Jordan, and the West Bank later this year. I'm a guy in my late 50's, traveling with a female friend in her early 30's. We're not actually a couple, but we want to share hotel rooms, and people probably will not believe that we are relatives (different ethnic groups). Will we have trouble renting a hotel room together? Are there any other issues we should be aware of, in terms of how we'll be perceived?
It will be fine if you are Westerners... Michel | 1
I doubt that anyone will ask you, but you should be prepared to say that you are married if anyone does put the question to you. | 2
Very unlikely anyone will question you. If they do,say you are married I guess. But I've been in all those places with my partner and no-one ever asked us... | 3
