I have just gotten my new Nikon D40x, which I really like. I am playing with it to figure out all the controls but I find it very irritating how the screen shits down automatically after 10 seconds. The review at dpreview.com says you can change this for it to stay on indefinitely, but does not say how. I can find no mention of this in the users manual. Does anyone know how to keep the screen on?

Not familiar with the D40x, but have been shooting Nikon digital for years. I have three different Nikon DSLR bodies and the menu's are all similar. Browse through your camera menu, and you should find a "Monitor off" option. Should be by the pencil icon (reference to other Nikon bodies). Click on it and set the time that you want your monitor to stay on. Should be options of 10, 20 seconds, or, 1, 5, 10 minutes, etc. | 2
Thanks for the tip, but I don't have it | 3
