Cabin rooms in Stockholm

Country forums / Scandinavia & the Nordics / Sweden

I am going to Stockholm for a 5 night break in February and as per usual I'm keen to get my accommodation sorted early. I have noticed a number of hotels in Stockholm offer Cabin rooms. Has anyone ever stayed in one? What are they like? I'm just wondering as they are a lot cheaper than conventional rooms and looking at pictures supplied by hotels they certainly look compact.

Thanking you in advance.

"...just wondering as they are a lot cheaper than conventional rooms "
?? does the homepage of the hostels mention the prices for the various possibilities?

Yes, for example the Scandic Hotel near Stockholm's central station per night:
Cabin room 670 SEK
Standard room 1120 SEK.

Quite a difference in price.

From what I understand from Scandic Hotel website, a cabin room has an inside window (to the hotel corridor). Never heard of those before.

I'm sure one of the 144 reviews are of those rooms: http://www.tripadvisor.com/ShowUserReviews-g189852-d229359-r39345137-Scandic_Malmen-Stockholm.html#REVIEWS

The rooms don't have any windows which wouldn't have been a problem except the room was soooo hot & no way to adjust temp! The location is awesome imo...
