Busan Hostels

Country forums / North-East Asia / South Korea

Hi, I'm staying in Busan in early August and hoping someone can recommend the fun area in Busan to stay and also a fun "party" hostel? thanks,

I recommend you go to Gwanganri or Haeundae beach area.
That two areas are really interesting and busy in summer season.
You can really plunge into people...and if you like hustle and bustle.
You can find a lot of reasonable accommodations around there too. But I don't think that there options for hostels. Actually hostels is not common and many in South Korea.

I found some information about hostel in Busan.
Check this site: http://www.busanyouthhostel.co.kr/english/00.main/main.asp

The name of the hostel is "ARPINA"
the room rates are as below,

Youth Room KRW100,000, Family room KRW150,000, Business Room KRW110,000 and Korean Room KRW120,000.

And if you searching for a really cheap room, you could use a lot of "love hotels(motels)". They don't have any safety problems in Korea. There's no need of reservation. Sometimes they equipped better facilities than lower level tourist hotels. But don't expect any English speaking doorman or any service. But if you speak very slowly and add some body language or handwriting or some Korean letter, most of young Koreans can communicate with you. The room rate is between KRW35,000~55,000 in most region in Korea.

Hope that helps.
