Bus Service From Abu Dhabi to Dubai?

Guys,

I am going to be in Abu Dhabi for about two days in a couple of weeks and was wondering what the easiest way is to get to Dubai for a day trip? I dont know if i will be renting a car or not, but can anyone tell whether there is a bus service that runs between the two cities? how much is it, does it have a name, and how long does it take to reach Dubai?

Oh and i'll have my wife and child with me, so the bus would have to be decent, atleast!

No problems,
by bus; if it is possible, you should try to avoid rush hours. Cheap. Time depending on traffic condition.

There is a Taxi service provider by the name Ghazal Taxi's They drop U off at the Bur Dubai taxi stand. The entire journey from AUH to DXB should take U around 2hrs to 2.5hrs...These are actually mini buses that ply between the 2 cities...

I would suggest U hire a taxi from AUH to DXB & then on Ure way back U could take the mini-bus(taxi)...They usually operate from 0600-2330.

There are busses and taxis - the stands are next to each other on the corner of 4th and 11th Streets - almost next to Al Whada Mall. Busses are cheap (I think about AED30) - taxi's you have to book the whole thing - anywhere between 250 and 350, depending on where you're going to and level of comfort.

If you want a taxi with seatbelts then you're best going to a big hotel and seeing what they have available - or call Al Ghazal (as mentioned above) - they are really reliable, but more expensive.
