Bus from Muscat to Dubai

I have been on this website http://www.omanet.om/english/useful/transport.asp
but cannot make out:

From where exactly does the bus to Dubai depart?
What is/are the station(s) in the UAE?
What is the time of transportation,- it looks astonishing long.
Are the mentioned times still valid?

The bus uses the station behind the DNATA carpark, near Deira City Centre Mall. Deira is an old area of Dubai, near Dubai Creek and the airport.

I don't know if those times on your link are still valid but the duration looks about right. Don't forget, it will take you time to complete border formalities on both sides.

The bus station for departure from Muscat is in Ruwi.

after a visit: the national company offers only 2 departures Ruwi-Dubai a day:
at 6. a.m. and 3 p.m. The ride takes 6½ to 7 hours depending on traffic conditions etc.
