Bogor/Bandung hotels

Can anyone recommend a good midrange hotel for Bogor (2-3 nights to see the gardens) and for Bandung (one night in transit to Pangandaran). Travelling with a slightly fussy companion at the moment! Budget around 25-30 US but no objection to spending less in a nice pensione. Is there anything else in Bogor worth a look? Also any suggestions on travelling Bandung-Pangandaran? Bus/shared taxi?
