Best Diving from Canada?

Hi everyone,

I am looking to spend one-two weeks diving in late April or early May. Flying from Calgary, Canada and looking for the best diving for my dollar. Southeast Asia, Australia, and Fiji may be a little far and outside of my budget. I completed my Divemaster in Utila and have done some diving around Tulum in Mexico. Can anyone suggest some good destinations?

I know BC is supposed to have some awesome diving, but I will wait until August when the water is a bit warmer potentially.

I am not a diver but am an avid snorkeler and I would like to suggest you have a look at Hawaii. Last May, West Jet had some great fares to Hawaii out of Calgary. Renting a condo while there would be a budget helper if needed. All the islands have dive shops - we found the best snorkeling on Maui and the Big Island. Hope this helps.
