beaches in mexico- full of tourists???prices...Country forums / Mexico / Mexico
Hello! I was traveling mostly to Asia in the past, so I do not know much about latin America. I was enyojing Asia much because of the beautiful and empty beaches there and cheap traveling. So please tell me about the beaches in Mexico if they are as beautifull as in Asia? Or are they mostly full of tourists??? What about budget for mounth- I am a low budget traveller. Thank you!
i spent 2 months in se asia last year (thai and malaysia beaches)....but live in america and been to a couple mexican beach vacation spots. Mexican beaches are waaay more touristy, us damn americans ruin everything once we discover it. If you're looking for cheap beaches, stay in se asia. | 1
Different I'm sure ... but Mexico is large and you can always find beaches with few people | 2
Mexico has more of a beach culture than SEA. | 3
As beautiful as in Asia? Asia's a big place, so is Mexico. Get yourself a good guidebook to Mexico and narrow down your search a bit - and use it to roughly calculate prices, transportation, etc. | 4
Funny how budget international travelers are sent packing from the gringo dispoiled beach towns, when property owners jack up the prices during MEXICAN holiday periods...carracar | 5
I can't comment much on the budget part of Mexico although i did see alot of pack packers and young people. We drove in through Texas and left through San diego driving the entire coastal perimeter of Mexico (9000 miles) and we experienced a vast variety of beautiful beaches, some busy with people and some with not a person around for miles. Just depends on where you go and if you are able to get to the beaches. Having your own vehicle is handy and probably one of the only ways to get to the best beaches. You can check out my website for some pics on the best beaches in Mexico. www.mytripjournal.com/AroundMexico | 6
I would recommend Acapulco if one were to stay around the Zocalo area as hotels are cheap as well as food if one shops around. If you are not from the USA or Canada, it might be a better bargain to go to Thailand as it is even cheaper than Mexico with nice beaches from what I hear. Since I live in the USA, it is best to vacation in Mexico since the air fare and buses are so much cheaper and it takes a lot less travel time. Buen viaje ( Enjoy your trip), Edmund | 7
I'd recommend staying away from any beaches. The sun is hot and you get sand in everything. | 8
