Bank Holiday Traffic

Hey guys - quick question - I'm needing to be at Stansted airport this Saturday by 1pm. Normally I'd take the bus or coach from central London, but given the bank holiday this weekend, is there likely to be heavy traffic on the way up?

Just don't want to be stuck in traffic and risk missing the flight - would it be safer just going for the express?

Traffic is normally worst on Fridays and Mondays, not Saturdays.

In any case, with this weather, I doubt many people are rushing off to Southend or Clacton.

Likely Express will be messed up by engineering works on the line.

Give yourself plenty of time is best idea with a fallback option.

#1 It is apparently going to be hot and sunny on Saturday so the roads could suddenly fill up! I would take the train.
