Bangladesh to Bhutan.

Country forums / Indian Subcontinent / Bangladesh

I plan to visit Bangladesh near the end of January flying from London. I understand that you can get a visa on arrival. However, I want to go to Bhutan and then my return flight is from Dhaka near the end of February. Does that mean that I must get a multiple visa and how does that work?
Flying with Druk Air to Bhutan their schedule is either too long or too short for my stay in Bhutan so I was wondering if I could travel on way overland to Bhutan from Bangladesh or vice versa and how that would work out with the Indian visa?
Any ideas anyone?

To travel overland from Bangladesh to Bhutan and then come back, you need a multiple entry Indian visa. You need to arrange the Indian visa in advance, they are not available at the border.

In case you haven't considered it and the flight schedules work out better for you, Druk flies from Kolkata too.

Thank you for your reply. I have now decided to fly in and out of Bangladesh to Bhutan and have just arranged for a double entry visa to Bangladesh.

Yes Kolkata would have been a good idea but shortly after posting this the forum was closed and I didn't get your suggestion in time.

GCM99 I'll bet many TTers have similar things to say. Glad it worked out anyway. Enjoy your trip!
