Ban Phe

Hey,

I'm considering doing a TEFL International course at Ban Phe next year. HAs anyone out there done this? Wondering whether the teaching is up to scratch.

Also, what sort of a place is Ban Phe? Is it nice enough to be there for a month studying?

Koh Samet 30 mins by boat 's very nice. There is the white and soft sand.

But Ban Phe itself isn't really up to much. A fishing port at best. Granted you could go to Samet by boat at weekends, but why not do the course in a place you might eventually live in like Chiang Mai or Phuket. That way you could get a feel for the place whilst you study and when the course ends get an apartment and find a job.

So don't waste time in Ban Phe then. Go north to CM and at least see a bit of Thailand whilst studying. Ban Phe offers 2 things; A pier to Samet and a road out of Ban Phe.
