Baasas da India

I would like to go diving at the Atoll Bassas da India; however they are all private charters or so I am told. If anyone has chartered a boat for such a trip and has space for 1; I would love the opportunity to join. I am not too restricted by dates but am looking for after 2nd January.

I am based out of South Africa KZN.

The only way to get there is if you have your own boat or you get a lift with someone else.

Some of the islands are off limits too, and some are only coral atols that come above water at certain times. One island has these weird salt-water mosquitos and it's a nightmare there also.

best thing to do it head to Durban Yacht club, or Richard's bay yacht club in SA and try and get a yacht heading that way from the notice boards they have offering spaces., they don't all dive. The other thing is to head to Maputo yacht club and try there. it's very unlikely you'll find one who is diving.
