AZORES - SAO MIGUEL

Country forums / Western Europe / Portugal

Hi

We're hoping to go on a split centre break between Lisbon and Sao Miguel.

Its SO hard to find info about Sao Miguel, but a very helpful accomodation owner has advised that by October some tourist attractions on the island are shut. Does anyone have any advice on the best time to visit Sao Miguel. We've got kids so we dont want it to be too hot, but we do want to be able to take advantage of the tourist attractions and swim in the sea!!

Cheers

Demi

The best time to go is August, because of the weather... The island is beautiful, the most incredible landscape I have ever seen.
