| tropicgirl19:04 UTC21 Apr 2007 | Hi Damian,
Yes we travelled on it on our Honeymoon 5 years ago from Paris to Venice and have booked the reverse journey for our return trip next month.
Have you reserved a couchette or the sleeping car? We had the sleeping car last time and it was VERY small (perhaps the number of bags we had didn't help). There was NO room to move once you had moved your bags in there and if one of us wanted to move in the cabin, the other had to stand in the corridor. We had a ball though - I haven't laughed so much in a very long time.
We found it the best way not to lose any precious daytime when we could be out sightseeing and we did arrive in Venice well rested and ready to hit the sights.
Have you booked yet because my husband and I are not going on it until June and we could not get a double sleeping car for our desired date. If you haven't booked yet and you're planning on going to Europe soon, I'd book the Artesia as soon as you have your itinerary worked out.
Good Luck

| meghanbarrett01:35 UTC23 Apr 2007 | I just took the Artesia Night Train from Paris to Florence. I was in a four person couchette in "business class", and it wasn't really all that bad. As tropicgirl said, it's great in the fact that you don't lose any sightseeing time to travel.

| markinjapan10:24 UTC11 Oct 2007 | Hey guys, How can I book the night train online. I was looking at the site http://www.voyages-sncf.com, but I noticed my country (Japan) isnt in the list of ok countries to buy online. So I was kind of worried if I booked it all I wouldnt be able to pick it up or something. How did you pick it up - is it just a matter of going to the train station ?
It also said I had to pickup the ticket 7 days before I was going to take the train - does that sounds correct to you ? In other words, did you actually do that ???
Any help would be really apprecaited - cos im travelling on the 25th December and guessing I should book those tickets sooner than later ! Cheers
