Anyone want to join a private taxi trip to Nazareth, Tiberias 12-14 Sept?

Country forums / Middle East / Israel

I'm looking to hire a private taxi leaving Jerusalem on Saturday 12 September and staying in Nazareth that night. Intending to see Nazareth and surrounding sights that day and the next morning before heading to Tiberias for the night of Sunday 13 September. Will do the sights in that area that afternoon and the next day (including round the lake) before heading back to arrive in Tel Aviv on the evening of Monday 14 September. If you're interested in joining up for all or any part of this to help split the costs, please let me know.

Am also looking for recommendations of taxi drivers who would charge a reasonable price for this itinerary.

You should really consider using public transport - Every large city is served by a central bus station, from which you could probably get to any other city in Israel. Hiring taxis and tours is better for more remote areas of Israel, such as the Golan Heights or the Negev Desert.
But to go from Jerusalem to Nazareth it would be absurd to hire a driver - you can take a bus in the morning, walk around Nazareth, and then go back to Jerusalem or continue to Tiberias, Haifa or Safed, for example.

Agree with above, we just came back from Israel and used public transport (Egged and Nazareth buses) and walked. Went from Tel Aviv to Nazareth, Nazareth to Tiberias and Tiberias to Jerusalem for little cost. Nazareth is small and relatively easy to walk around or get a taxi when you are there, the Tourist Info Centre was very helpful and opposite the Basilica, in Tiberias we used bus to take us to Tagbar Junction which is only 20 minute walk to the churches and then walked onto Capernaum along good footpath - did make the mistake of then walking to River Jordan which is quite a distance on from there but hitched a lift back to Tiberias.
