How can I get to brugge from amsterdam, is there train directly?

See [www.b-rail.be] for timetables. | 2
There are several options. Or you take the cheaper IC trains and change in Antwerp (and eventually in Ghent as well), duration 3:32 to 3:49 See link above. | 3
I've travelled quite a bit in that part of the world. My recommendation is to get the train from Amsterdam to Antwerp. From Antwerp, you should be able to get a train to Brugge. Failing that, go from Amsterdam to Brussels Central, then go to Brugge. | 4

Whether or not you need to reserve in advance depends on which type of train you take from Amsterdam to Brussels: Brussels-Bruges cannot be reserved in advance. You basically have two options: Bruges-Paris | 5
