My collegue and me are planning to spend 9 - 13 days hiking aroud Alps. there is a rough route already, from chamonix to Zarmatt. Anyway it seems the most popular trail. Furthermore, what i want to know is the distance , altitude, accommodation...... lots of in detail. So how to get bunch of information on the internet? If possible, we also want to read one or two spiriting travelogue/itinerary. also, where to get those on internet........ Could you help me!

you can find accomodation but expect to pay a lot , the area is very touristic and expensive.
Even if you stay in Chalet Alpin Français ( CAF ) altitude shelters.
Otherwise it's strongly recommend to buy Institut Geographique National (IGN )maps.

There are a lot of Internet sites about this topic but most of the time in French....
