If you are an English speaking woman unfamiliar with the Euro BEWARE if offering a 50€ note as the shopkeeper may give you change for a 20€ note and deny that you gave him 50€. We know this happened twice yesterday and when the second woman returned to the shop and confronted him the shopkeeper very quickly opened the till and reluctantly gave her her money!
