Accommodation suggestions for Seoul and maybe Kyeong-juCountry forums / North-East Asia / South Korea
Hi, I have a ticket to go to Seoul for 8 days just after Christmas but unfortunately I have very little money to spend. Can people suggest cheap places to stay in Seoul and perhaps Kyeong-ju (if I can get that far)? The Khaosan Insadong Seoul Guesthouse seems okay on its website - are they connected tot eh Khaosan group of hostels in Japan? Any advice most welcome. Ian
Go for hostels with dorm rooms if you're on a budget. There are lots of them in Hongdae, Sinchon, Myeongdong areas. Usually about 20000-25000won for a bed. Go to websites like Hostelworld to look for options and rates. There are some hostels in Gyeongju too. You can google for them too. If you would to visit Jeonju for a few hours, there's a free shuttle service Edited by: rayevang | 1
I plan to stay at this place which has good reviews and reasonable prices. http://www.boaguesthouse.com/service/about/gallery.php?lang=eng&lcode=01&mcode=01&matrix= | 2
I stayed at Sa Rang Chae in Gyeong-ju and I absolutely loved it; not sure about room dorms though if you can share it with anybody or how does it work, you can contact them and ask as they speak English. http://gyeongjulove.blogspot.com.es/2012/05/going-to-guest-house.html | 3
