Accommodation in Ipanema $120US... Possible?

My 'friend' and I would like to spend 4-5 nights in the Ipanema area in early October this year.

We have been searching a number of sights but can't seem to find a decent hotel situated near bars, clubs, restaurants in the Ipanema area.

Would anyone out there have any suggestions or recommendations?

Hi! Do a Google search for the Hotel Vermont's website. It's in Ipanema, not on the seafront though but I thought it offered good value.

To find a good bar/club go have an after-beach drink at Bofetada in Ipanema and ask around.

If you want to stay in a good hostel try ... Adventure Hostel .... close to the beach and bars/clubs.

I assume you mean US$ 120 per night?! Take an apartment. You can find high-quality 1 bedrooms apartments for that (less than US$ 100). I always pay between US$ 75 and US$ 95 per night. Have a look at RentFlatinRio.
