Accommodation in Berlin with Crocodilian

Hello--Has anyone used the 'Crocodilian' apartment-booking service (www.rooms-in-berlin.com) in Berlin? They have some great rentals, but I have never heard of them before, so wanted to check out if they are a reputable service. Especially as they ask for credit card details, passport details and DOB just for enquiries. Thanks!

My personal recommendation is the Ostel - this is a budget hostel/hotel with appartments and rooms decorated in the typical style of the GDR. http://www.ostel.eu/
