accommodation caye caulker

can anyone recommend accommodation on caye caulker, for myself and my husband, we are in our thirties and looking for somewhere quiet and not full of 18yr old backpackers (no offence!), budget to mid range?

I just stayed at Maxhapan Cabanas last week. It was great! Its a little away from the main part of the island, but still so close. Louise, the owner/manager, is very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Its clean, cheap, and really cute. They also provide bikes so you can get around the island very easily.

Can I ask what you paid for your room at Maxhapan?

Chilias room near the split, only the one room. minimum stay 3 nights, $50 US per night. Great !

Is it possible to find a room b/w US $25-$50 anight in Oct?
