accom. Koh Samui

We are in Koh Phangan and have an early flight from Samui to K.L. We have decided to spend one night on Samui. Can anyone suggest somewhere that has a swimming beach, fan bungalow and bathroom. Not too far from the airport. We can pay up to 1500 baht for the night. Thanks in advance.

Mae Nam is the nicest beach close to the airport - Google should find a bunch of suitable bungalow places there.

But Chaweng is so much nicer IMHO and the northern section is hardly any further from the airport - OP Resort there is on a real nice section of the beach - got a pix and a website sublink about 30% down page here http://tezzasthaiinfo.blogspot.com/2009/08/samui.html

I stayed at Full Moon Bungalows, really friendly and clean and right next to the Koh Phangan pier, I paid 950 baht for a fairly large air con room, think fan rooms maybe cheaper. Great staff, really good fun and an excellent place to watch the sunset, there is no pool but its right on the beach, air con rooms included airport transfers, having said that the airport is only about 5 minutes away, great place to stay though, highly recommend it.
