8 days in central Sri LankaCountry forums / Indian Subcontinent / Sri Lanka
Good evening all, I am hoping for some advice please. My wife and I leave the Yala National Park area with 8 days to spare for the hill country. Coming from Yala, I thought Ella would be the best place to start? Can I easily get to Adam's Peak and world's end from Ella or would Nuwara Eliya be a better place to Base ourselves? I plan on two or three nights in Kandy so I have 5 or 6 nights to play with. Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks Rob

....N Eliya is a much better place for visits to both Worlds End and Adams Peak. Pay visits to Sigiriya and Dambulla for a day trip from Kandy if you can spare the time | 2
Thank you for such a quick response. I thought ella looked a bit far from adams peak at least. Appreciate your help! | 3
Colombo - Dambulla/Sigiriya -kandy -Adams peak( Dailhouse is base) - Nuwara eliya -Ella -yala will be good.. you will need to hire a car with driver for this route as your time is bit limited..mainly is it 8 dyas or 8 nights????? if you can give arriving date/time and departinmg date/time will be easy to give you a details itinerary Raja | 4
To visit Adam's Peak and Horton Plains, Nuwara Eliya is the better base. | 5
