7 days? Abu Dubai or Dubai

Hi, I have 7 day stopover in Abu Dubai, should I take the bus for a few day trips to Dubai, or just split my hotels stays in each of the 2 cities. I arrive and leave from Dubai. Any suggestions for a good medium price hotel, in the center of each city as well

It should be the other way around. Base yourself in Dubai and save Abu Dhabi or a day trip.

Dubai is much more geared towards tourists and has more sights of interest than Abu Dhabi. Dubai has an "old city" along its creek, a fascinating Gold Souk, impressive shopping malls and a much more accessible beachfront. The nightlife and bar scene is also much bigger.

Dubai has no proper "centre" but if you want to be equidistant from all the sights and near a metro stop that will take you to most of the popular tourist sights, check out the hotels in the Al Barsha vicinity of Dubai. The Holiday Inn, City Max and Ibis hotels are within walking distances of the metro stops and are reasonably priced.
