Hi guys, Some of you may be familiar with the Mongol Rally, in which teams begin in the UK and drive to Mongolia it old cars in the name of charity. There is a team from Ballymena, County Down, Northern Ireland who completed this rally in 2016 and they are organising a mini rally in aid of cancer focus. They are hoping to use their Mongol Rally car and have opened this up to anyone who wants to join, be it in nice modern cars, camper vans or old bangers. Myself and two friends, also from County Down, will also be doing it in our 2015 Mongol Rally Nissan Micra. So far there are a few other non Mongol rally teams doing the charity drive too, the more the merrier! I must also stress that this will not be a race, rather a group road trip :) The trip will be Aug 25th - Aug 28th and will start in County Down at the most eastern part of Ireland (before going to the most Southern, Western and Northern points). The organisers have said it is £50 per vehicle with 100% of the money going to charity. They will provide a route and various options for the stop over points, ie camp site, hotels, B&Bs, etc. If anyone else would like to join, give me a shout and I can give you more details and put you in touch with the organisers! | ||
