4 days in San Pedro de atacama - options

Hello

I have 4 full days in san pedro de atacama , anyone know any good agencys for the bolivia Uyuni salt lake excursions? i heard its 3 days in 4wd ? the fourth day i would want to see the geysers in the morning then the sunset in the valle de la luna in the evening.

Also whats the best way to transfer from calama to san pedro and vice versa , do the buses connect with early morning flights out of calama?

Re Buses from Calama /San Pedro. Its about a 3 hour bus ride either way, I think buses leave every hour or so. But you probably have to catch a 15 minute taxi from the Calama bus depot to the airport. Not sure of any good tour agents in San Pedro, heaps of them offering tours, even if you were recommended a good one, still could get put with any group to make up numbers, but roughing it in Salt Lake Flats is all good fun, adds to the experience. Check about time frame, could be leaving it a bit tight if you only have a total of 4 days and flights to catch. But definitely don’t miss out on tour, highlight of SA.

The bus ride from Calama to San Pedro de Atacama is slightly less than 2 hrs from my experience (I travelled on Tur Bus). Do check out Tur Bus website for the time, I think there are about 4-5 buses daily.

For early morning flight out of Calama you might want to check out local taxi as a realistic option.

Agree with poster#1 your Uyuni trip might strech your San Pedro de Atacama experience a little. The geysers tour starts at 4am and the Valle de la Luna goes at 3pm. I went with Atacama Connection.
