3 nights in Nairobi,

Would appreciate any info from any female travellers/ travelling alone; spending a few nights in Nairobi (buget places) & experience of safari's alone etc. Other info or advice is greatly welcomed also !
I have been to Kenya before but it was 8 yrs ago, & wasn't travelling alone.
Looking forward to returning.

I will be there on 23rd ,Alone ,female . Till now only booked 2 nights safari to Masaimara . Then I plan to fly to Mombasa to visit a children's home . But this schedule didn't confirmed yet , I need to get the approval of that founder .

The mountain and city don't attract me much ,All i want is to feel the boldness,fearlessness and authenticity of wild animals .After safari ,if I was rejected to visit ,I maybe would book a room on the farm via airbnb ,and just enjoy the tranquility and landscape .
I always believe "travel smart , danger will go away " . will share information while experiencing . ：）

I did some travelling by myself in Kenya and actually it never brought any problem at all. A very small advice that helped me a lot is to wear a ring and tell men that you are married. If you say you have a boyfriend, people will still see you as single, but once you say you are married, it is mostly respected.
Beside that, just stick to the normal travel advice, like don't walk around in the dark by yourself except if it is confirmed to be very safe. Also some small sentences in Kiswahili can help a lot to tell men in a funny way that you are married. Patience helps a lot :-D!

More challenging during travelling was to meet other travellers around. In Nairobi you have some hostels (like Milimani Backpackers or Upperhill) where it is easy to meet new people and in Naivasha there are some camping spaces like Fisherman's Camp where you can easily meet other travellers. Also on the coast it is easy to meet other travellers but once you go more to the western side of Kenya, it gets more tricky to find them. It's not necessarily a bad thing but to me travelling in Kenya felt different than travelling in other countries. Anyway, just enjoy it, it is a wonderful country with wonderful people!
